Company ProfileRobert Thomas Consulting Services, LLC. is the brainchild of Dr. Robert T. Hitlan an industrial/organizational psychologist. Dr. Hitlan received his doctorate in psychology from the University of Texas, El Paso in 2002 and is currently an associate professor at theUniversity of Northern Iowa. Over the years, Dr. Hitlan has noticed that many times professional researchers (MD's, Ph.D's, Organizational Employees, etc.) choose not to submit their research to peer-reviewed journals (or conduct certain types of analyses) because they are not sure what statistical analyses are most appropriate for analyzing their research questions. Moreover, some analyses make it into peer-reviewed journal even though the performed analyses are inappropriate given the data that was analyzed.
One of the primary reasons Robert Thomas Consulting Services, LLC. was developed was to help those who are either afraid of statistics or not experienced in certain types of statistical analyses to better test their specific research questions (with the most appropriate and valid statistical methods available). It is hoped that Robert Thomas Consulting will facilitate the publication of important research findings in peer-reviewed journals. It is also hoped that such a service will be valued by academics and applied researchers alike and provide a place they can turn when confusion reigns.
A second reason for the creation of Robert Thomas Consulting Services, LLC was that many times small businesses and larger organizations have problems but do not necessarily need nor want a full-time problem solver on their payroll. Outside consultants can often provide organizations with an "outsiders" perspective of the potential strengths and weaknesses of an organization that may be overlooked by current full-time employees who are enmeshed in the organizations political milieu.
Robert Thomas Consulting Services, LLC can provide employers with a unique vantage point for diagnosing, and subsequently resolving, issues that may be negatively impacting the profitability of an organization.
